i'm now listening to this taiwanese black metal band called chthonic.
i like how they pair harsh vocals and guitars (like used by most traditional BM bands)
with thin, traditional chinese vocals.
you know when there's horror movies and this ghost gal has her long hair over her face it and starts combing it while singing in this high, thin voice?
thats the voice.
and that was a long sentence, eh?

yeah so anyway, they also use the erhu and keyboards.
their music's very... layered.
very rich in texture.
not unlike a bar of fruit and nut chocolate.
or maybe a gigantic, hard, rough shit that refuses to come out.

but anyway, cthtonic. (no, i've no idea how to pronounce it. i think its ss-tonic or summat.)
i stole their album free off radio heatwave.
(seriously, they were dumping in in long term storage. i doubt they even played it once, seeing that it was released in 2005.)
so far i say that this album's being put to good use in my possession.
more so than in theirs anyway.

anyway, jumping topic to heatwave.
i think its kinda fucked up that they receive so much music, including from independent artistes.
yet they dont play it.
the artistes kinda expect them to promote a bit (at least) in exchange for the album...
so at least respect them and give it 1 or 2 plays.
no, i'm not stabbing in the dark.
